When Winter Comes

When Winter Comes

A Poem With(out) Rhyme..

When winter comes,
Bringing dark and grey,
And cold winds blow,
The leaves away.

When winter comes,
Scaring birds away,
And squirrels inside,
Their homes do stay.

When winter comes,
And it’s gloves and hats,
Scarves and boots,
And thick warm coats.

When winter comes,
And dormant plants do lay,
No blossom or blooms,
Til’ comes a brighter day.

When winter comes,
I retreat to my cocoon,
To go out in the cold,
Falls to only a loon.
