Leaves

Leaves

A Poem

Leaves.
Fall.
Like snow.
Brightly coloured.
A brighter death hath none.
As Autumn brings her burnished glow;
And down and down the leaves will go.
To the ground; a woodland carpet.
Crisply crunching.
Underfoot.
Life; so fleeting.
Non-repeating.
All we are is visiting.
Nothing more than greeting.

Only to say goodbye…
