Remembering

Remembering

A poem without rhyme

I see your posts; your stories; your tweets

I know that life has moved on,

But here I am, still alone in the dark

Remembering those days in the past.

I wonder if you miss her,

I wonder if you care.

Truth is, you probably don’t even notice,

That she isn’t there.

You barely talked when she was alive;

Save when you needed help,

Then came the sob story and the message

Your desperate pleas for aid.

I miss her so much every day,

The pain doesn’t seem to fade.

And I sometimes wonder when relief

Will come to my aid.

It’s almost a year ,

And I’ve shed many tears,

But I doesn’t feel like nearly enough.

I miss you now, right here, today.

I missed you yesterday.

They say in time, this’s grief will fade,

But I feel it every day.
